SEWER/DRAIN CLEANING

sewer/drain cleaning

Our drain technicians work with everything from handheld plumber's snakes to heavy-duty commercial snakes and everything in between which allows them to inspect and clean drains of any size. When there is a sewer back-up, our crew is dispatched right away to prevent further damage from water and sewage. After the blockage is cleared, we perform a general clean-up and leave fans to dry the space as needed.

Catch Basin Installation/ Repair/ Cleaning

If there is water pooling on your driveway, outside the paved area, or concreted area - we recommend the installation of a catch basin. Catch basins provide additional drainage and collect excessive water around the building and directs it away from the foundation and living area. All the water collected from the catch basin flows into your storm drain and is connected to the city storm drain.

At ROOTERWORX, we specialize in all kinds of drains and drainage issues, so we know how to make it work. We perform not only installations of catch basins but also catch basin cleaning and maintenance.

The catch basin requires yearly maintenance, as falling leaves and debris accumulate inside the catch basin preventing its proper functioning. Ensure the catch basin is cleaned and drains well before every season.

KITCHEN DRAIN STACK CLEANING

Highrise buildings' kitchen drain stacks are drain lines that connect the whole building, from one kitchen to another unit below, and over time with heavy usage from multiple units, they get clogged, the same as any other kitchen drain. Neglect of regular stack riser cleaning may cause backups in multiple units at once. ROOTERWORX specializes in clearing kitchen drain stacks for high-rise and low-rise apartment buildings and condominiums. We power flush and manually snake each unit, and provide drain camera inspection to make sure kitchen drains are clean of grease, garbage, and accumulations. We guarantee professional cleaning, fair cost, and courteous service.

SEWER/DRAIN CAMERA INSPECTION

Drain Camera Inspection is a service commonly used to identify problems in a drain line below ground level. A high-resolution camera shows the blockage/ breakage, and the condition of the pipe, and the locator shows the exact position of the blockage - where and how deep it lays.

SEWER/DRAIN POWER FLUSHING/JETTING

When clogs and blockages build up to cover the interior of the pipe, a drain snake isn't always practical. The more powerful and efficient tool is power flushing, sometimes known as power jetting. This is the process of cleaning the sewer drain or pipe with water under high pressure (up to 4000 PSI) so it can clear even the toughest blockage but is gentle enough to not damage the pipe. Once complete, we inspect the pipe with a drain camera to make sure any remnants of dirt and debris are cleared.

Power flushing is especially useful for restaurants, catering, and bars where there is a lot of grease going down the drain, making it impossible to clear with a regular drain snake.

SEWER/DRAIN SPOT REPAIR

In some instances, drain cleaning is not possible. The best solution is sewer/drain spot repair. This means we excavate the place where the blockage/ break was identified and replace this small part of the drain pipe. Thus the homeowner saves money and time by not replacing the whole drain line. We provide a warranty for the part we have replaced.

ROOTERWORX has vast experience in dealing with drain problems, and we work fast, clean, and efficiently.

Our drain technicians are licensed to perform new installation and drain repairs at residential and commercial buildings.

FULL SEWER/DRAIN LINE REPLACEMENT (TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGY)

It may look like an expensive difficult-to-justify service however, on the contrary, it will save you much more in the long run. Where there was a problem, it can and will return (and sewer backups are no different), like tree roots that grow into sewer pipes in search of water and nutrients, or a faulty sewer pipe that might be causing problems when the accumulations build-up. Many older homes were built with clay pipes that have a useful life of about 50-60 years, but as the building codes have changed and PVC pipes have proven more durable and efficient for residential sewer pipes with a useful life of over 100 years, it is an excellent upgrade for your home that will instantly increase your property value and save you future headaches.

Many factors should be taken into consideration, and proper assessment performed before concluding the reason for a particular drain problem.

ROOTERWORX uses trenchless technology for full drain/sewer line installation. Pipe bursting is a trenchless technology for the installation of drain/sewer pipes. The trenchless method allows the installation/replacement of the drain/sewer without traditional trench excavation. The trenchless method, aka pipe bursting, needs two pits to get excavated, one is an insertion pit, and the other is a receiving pit. Full sewer/drain replacement is the right solution when there is a problematic drain with multiple problems or old pipes that have accumulations, cracks, or if the pipe is broken.

BackWater Valve Installation

Backwater valve installation is an excellent solution for preventing sewage back-ups while the city sewer pipe is overflowing during heavy rainfalls. It prevents sewage from entering the property however, it also prevents sewage from your property flowing into the city sewer pipe. We do not recommend using your plumbing system during those times, as wastewater from your house would back up into your basement and might cause a flood.

ROOTERWORX specializes in BackWater Valve Installation. We are fully licensed and insured drain technicians. We help homeowners in Toronto, Mississauga, Hamilton, and GTA with the installation of Flood Protection Devices and preparation of the documents to apply for the rebate.

WaterMain Break

ROOTERWORX performs residential and commercial water supply line (watermain) installation, repair (broken or cracked watermain) and assessment. When a watermain break occurs, water under high pressure escapes the pipe and turns the surrounding area into a swamp. The main reason for a watermain line to crack or break is frozen water. When the temperature drops significantly, water freezes and expands, bursting through the pipe. Additionally, changes in temperature can cause water in the surrounding ground to expand and shift the path of the watermain and put even more pressure on the pipe. We know how to fix watermain cracks and breaks quickly and effectively.
